Digital & AI are powerful enablers in optimizing complex Steel Operations and Supply Chains. These solutions have proven to deliver substantial efficiency gains as well as CO2 reduction across the whole steel value chain, from agglomeration through to coating, as well as in functions such as Business Planning and Supply Chain, Commercial and Maintenance. In this talk, we will provide concrete examples of how Digital & AI can be applied in steel across the value chain and what magnitude of improvements can be expected. Furthermore, we will also talk about the typical pitfalls and what is required to implement these solutions sustainably.
